DTEK Grids DSO invested almost 3 bln hryvnias into preparation of the grids for the new heating season

During preparation for the 2025-2026 heating season, energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO repaired and upgraded 6,500 power facilities, 4,900 cable lines and almost 7,000 km of the overhead power lines. In particular, they replaced obsolete equipment with the modern one, installed new telecontrol and remote-control systems.

To prevent emergencies, caused by falling of branches on the wires, energy workers also cleared over 7,300 km of power lines from branches, shrubs and drywood.

Every meter of the lines that we repaired or restored is electricity in thousands of homes. Despite constant enemy attacks, on the energy infrastructure in particular, we have prepared our grids for winter, investing almost 3 bln hryvnias. All performed works will improve reliability of power supply during the heating season. DTEK Grids DSO were a support for the Ukrainians last winter and they are now doing everything possible to go through this winter with confidence too. Energy workers are holding – electricity is holding,” — noted DTEK Grids CEO Alina Bondarenko.

All efforts of the DSO in the Donetsk region are directed at repairing grids and equipment after constant shelling. In particular, over nine months of 2025 energy workers repaired more than 900 power facilities damaged due to hostilities, restored operation of almost 3,000 km of power lines.

Energy workers call on residents of the regions to share responsibility for stability of power supply: please reschedule part of the consumption to night time, switch off light and electrical appliances in the rooms, where no one is present, and do not switch on several energy-consuming appliances simultaneously — this will help distribute the load and reduce risks of emergencies.
