During the four years of the full-scale war, energy workers in the Donetsk region repaired 1,200 substations, transformer and distribution points, 12,800 power lines with a total length of almost 30,000 km. Despite systematic enemy attacks and repeated destruction, they have restored a lion’s share of the damaged energy infrastructure, where it is possible to do at all, and repair works continue after every strike.
