From December 15 to 21, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 636 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of over a million* families in Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Some families had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority of restorations were in the Odesa region, which continues to suffer from practically non-stop enemy attacks. Energy workers here managed to restore power to 528,700 homes of local residents over the course of the week.

Almost the same number of restorations – for 506,000 families – energy workers carried out last week in the Donetsk region, where the situation still remains extremely difficult due to active fighting. Despite all security challenges, our energy workers continue to work once it becomes possible.

From December 15 to 21, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from both enemy attacks and the proximity of the frontline, in their turn, managed to restore electricity to almost 114,600 homes of local residents, de-energized by the attacks.

“The enemy intensified attacks on power facilities. He is trying to leave us without light and electricity. Nevertheless, despite constant danger and attacks, we continue to fight for our energy system. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of 31 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
