DTEK Donetsk Grids Restored Power Supply to 54 Settlements in a Day
The Volnovakha area suffered the most from nighttime rough weather. Blackouts were also noted in the Mariupol and Pokrovsky Districts, as well as in the city of Mariupol.
Our energy workers are still working to restore power supply in the following areas:
- Volnovakhsky District – the villages of Novopavlovka, Novogrigoryevka, Tatarka, Ivanovka, Kirillovka, Zachatyevka, Stepnoe, Krapivnitskoe, Novotroitskoe, Nikolskoe, Granitnoe, Novoselovka, Khlebodarovka, Rybinskoe, Trudovskoe, Maksimovka, Bakhchevik, Novoandreevka, Zeleny Gay, Communa, Blahoveschenka;
- Mariupol District – the villages of Panovka, Chermalyk, Malinovka, Novogrigoryevka;
- Pokrovsky District – the village of Toretskoe;
“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and does everything to ensure that their homes always have lights on and comfort. During the day, we restored power supply for 25,000 households in the region, as well as the operation of 409 transformer substations and 33 power lines. More than 90 repair teams are involved in emergency recovery work. The company's energy workers are still on high alert. They are making every effort to restore the power supply to residents of the region as soon as possible,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, CEO of DTEK Donetsk Grids.
In addition, a heavy downpour entailed the shutdown of 150 transformer substations in Mariupol. 11 emergency recovery teams of power engineers are working to restore power supply in the city as quickly as possible.
Adverse weather is hitting Donetsk Region on June 17. According to forecasters, thunderstorms, and squalls of 15-20 m/s (1 hazard level, yellow) are expected in some areas.
DTEK Donetsk Grids reminds of the need to comply with electrical safety rules:
- In case of strong wind, you should not be near power lines;
- Do not approach the broken wire closer than 8-12 meters and in no case touch it;
