DTEK restored power to more than 12,000 households in the Donetsk region

On June 9, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers managed to repair equipment and energize lines in 13 settlements of the Donetsk region that suffer from constant shelling. In less than 24 hours power was restored to 11 of these settlements in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts, including near Toretsk and Marinka, where communities constantly suffer from blackouts due to shelling.

Electricity was restored to 12,408 families in the Donetsk region.

Active hostilities are underway. The situation in the north of the region is especially difficult, causing even larger damage to electrical equipment and power lines. We ask residents to treat possible power supply issues with understanding. Unfortunately, shelling of territories continues, frequently causing damage to the grids’ infrastructure and shutdown of energy enterprises.

325 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity due to hostilities. The most difficult situation remains near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka. Energy workers are unable to perform repairs in most of these settlements and have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 107 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents.
